KATRINA - Chicago Pastor Trapped

Dear Pastors:

A number of you have inquired about what you and your congregations can do to help the Katrina victims. On the home page of our www.ChicagoBaptist.com website we have some information and links to the North American Mission Board Disaster Relief webpages.

One of our own Chicago Metro pastors (James Pittman) and his family were among those trapped in a New Orleans attic on Monday. We hadn't heard anything from them until this morning (Friday). They were rescued and a friend of theirs is driving down to Louisiana to pick them up and bring them back to Chicago by Saturday evening.

Please keep on praying for the rest that need to be rescued.

Advancing God's Kingdom,
Keith Draper
Executive Director, Chicago Metro Baptist Association
